Overview
The Email Reminder Templates section allows you to create and manage the email messages sent to patients regarding their appointments. These templates help maintain consistent communication while personalizing messages with specific patient and appointment details.
Template Management
Viewing Available Templates
The main screen displays your existing email templates:
- Appt Reminder: Standard appointment reminder for individual appointments
- Group Appt Reminder: Specialized template for group session notifications
- Each template shows its subject line for easy identification
- Click the "Edit" button next to any template to modify its content
Editing Templates
When editing an email template, you can customize:
- Email subject: The subject line that appears in the recipient's inbox
- Email body content: The main message with formatting options
- Use the rich text editor to format text (bold, italic, links, etc.)
Placeholder System
Templates use placeholders to insert patient-specific information automatically:
- Patient Items: Include patient name and contact details
- Consulting Practitioner: Add the provider's name and credentials
- Appointment Items: Insert appointment date, time, and type
- GP Items: Include referring doctor information when applicable
- User & Date Items: Add current date or user information
Common placeholders include:

Template Actions
- Close: Exit without saving changes
- Save: Store your updated template
- Back: Return to the Reminder Settings section
